Teeth Whitening

If your teeth are not as white as you would like, one option is to have your teeth bleached or whitened. We recommend whitening your teeth with custom made trays that are made specifically for you, as these will fit much better than over the counter trays. This will help you get an even amount of bleach on your teeth, and avoid leakage of the gel which can cause irritation.

Whitening is easy and safe if used as directed. we will show you how easy it is. We take impressions of your teeth to make moulds and the well fitting trays. You will then apply the gel to the trays and wear the trays for 15-20 minutes a night for between 3-5 nights. While bleaching avoid foods that can stain your teeth. Your teeth will need to be cleaned before you start whitening, to remove plaque and stains, which can affect the results.

If you have fillings, or crowns, veneers or implants, these will not whiten, as whitening only works on natural tooth structure. Talk to us about your options.

Sometimes teeth can become sensitive especially to cold or acidic foods and drinks. If this occurs here are some helpful tips to reduce the sensitivity;
